Light sesame oil is pressed from raw, unroasted sesame seed. It is pale yellow and mild, and it is used as an ordinary cooking oil across the Middle East, India and East Asia — for sautéing, stir-frying and general kitchen work. It shares a botanical source with toasted sesame oil but not its purpose: the two are ordered, priced and used differently, and should never be substituted for one another on an order.

Refined, bleached and deodorised for a neutral taste and a longer life in the kitchen.
Character: Pale yellow, clear, very mild.
Pressed from raw seed without refining, keeping a gentle sesame taste.
Character: Light gold; mild, clean sesame aroma.
Light sesame oil is used for normal cooking heat. Refined grades tolerate more heat than cold-pressed ones, as with any oil; the lot specification is the reference.
Smoke point is not published here as a single figure. It varies with refinement, free fatty acid content, filtration and how often an oil has been used, so the figure that matters is the one on the specification for the lot supplied.

Container loading is calculated once carton dimensions, gross weights, the pallet pattern and the applicable payload limit are known — it is not estimated from the pack size alone.
